A Letter to my son on his birthday: Eight is Great

Okay Batang Makulit... Eight is Great!

I've known you for 2,922 days and I love you more each day and night. You always make my heart smile.

You are kind and very smart.

You work hard and you are patient every time I give you a task.

You are very adventurous. You are a brave young man.

You are funny, silly, sweet and lovable.

You are an angel in disguise sent to comfort me my Luigi Miguel, my angel.

I will always be by your side to support you and guide you as you grow.

Thank you for making me a mommy. My life is so sweet because of you.

Happy 8th birthday Luigi Miguel. I love you!

There's an African proverb that says "It takes a village to raise a child". For me, it is true. Luigi's birthday is like celebrating my 8th year as a mom but I couldn't do it all by myself without the help of my family and friends who are there to support us in our journey.

Isang Harding Papel : a children's book on Martial Law

"My countrymen, as of the twenty-first of this month, I signed Proclamation № 1081 placing the entire Philippines under Martial Law...” — Ferdinand Marcos, September 21, 1972

How do you tell a story to your children about Martial Law in the Philippines? How do you tell them about what happened in the EDSA People Power Revolution?Ikwento natin sa kanila ang kasaysayan.

Most of us, parents wants to shelter our kids from the harsh realities of life. But a Filipino writer wants to give kids a taste of life's harsh truth through a children's book.

Isang Harding Papel written by Augie Rivera and illustrated by Romel Joson is a story set during the Martial Law through the eyes of Jenny, a young girl's experience of visiting her mother, a political detainee imprisoned for years after joining a protest rally.

The story also presents a childhood defined and redefined in difficult times and it also depicts how love and family triumph over darkness.

Kidzooona: an indoor garden to learn through play

Children learn through play, most importantly in play children learn how to learn -O. Fred Donaldson

I am a strong supporter that children is learning through play that is why I wanted to share our lovely experience at Kidzooona located at 5th Level, Waltermart Makati.

Kidzooona is operated by Aeon Fantasy Group, a Japan-based company. Kidzoona comes from the Japanese word Kizuna means the "bond" or "connection" between a parent and a child.

The moment Luigi step in Kidzooona, he is very happy and excited! Who wouldn't be excited if you are surrounded with toys? Toys are tools that help children learn about themselves. As they play, they learn to get along with others and develop fine and gross motor skills.

This indoor playground is both educational and entertaining. It is big, neat, safe and fun-filled environment. It is divided into areas: The Toddler Area, Role Play Town, Ball Pool, Cyber Wheel, Toy Corner, Event Corner and the Parent and Guardian Lounge.

How To Achieve Piolo Pascual's "Amoy Artista" scent

What is "amoy artista" scent? It is used to describe a clean, fragrantly fresh scent all day. Do you have to wear expensive perfume? How about Papa P? What’s his secret to keeping that “amoy-artista” scent?

Piolo Pascual, one of the country's favorite heartthrob  reveals his secret to smelling good in an intimate fan meet last July 4, 2017 at Century City Mall, Makati City.

The Fourth of July is a blast for Papa P's fans because it is their Grand Fan's Day. He not only treated fans to a heart-warming performance and fun games but also revealed how he manages to achieve “amoy-artista.” The secret: it’s not a new perfume; it’s a new detergent!

In a Q & A with fans, he shared “Kahit pinagpapawisan ako sa taping o naarawan kami maghapon sa shoot at on-site schedules, mabango pa rin ang damit ko!”
What made the fans "kilig more" is that Papa P lets the fans smell him or #smellfie. (May pauso si Papa P!) to let the fans smell the scent of the Tide Perfume…

Make Brushing More Fun With Minions

Whenever you get your picture taken during "selfies" or "groufies" and you smile, do you open your mouth and show your teeth? When you see the picture above, (our photo)  you see a happy mom and son looking back at you. We are a happy person sending positive vibes to everyone! We love to smile and I am proud to say that we have healthy teeth.

Here's the 5 Tips on HOW to make brushing more fun with your kids
1. Use visual guides.  My son is a visual learner, I use this graphic to break down a task. I laminate and tape up a graphic like this next to the sink he uses.

2. Storytelling.  One of our bonding moments is storytelling. My son loves this book because it tells about the importance of oral hygiene.

3. Sing-along and brush with your kids.  "If you want a nice big smile, then you must brush." This educational video has catchy lyrics and rhymes that makes brushing more fun.

4. Repetition. Good oral hygiene should start at an early age. As a parent, we hav…
